This board is for you to respond to any cool factoid on UFR. The space allowed for a factoid on the main page is limited to 128 characters. Because of that, it is often not possible to list everything that might be of interest or clarification.
Hypothetical example: Leroy Dipthong stole his 50th base by the All-Star break for only the third time in modern baseball history – most recently in 1965 by John Doe.
And, say that took 128 characters. There was no room to write that the other person to have done it was Joe Shmo in 1937.
Because of this limitation, the cool factoids are abbreviated – and not just by words or numbers, but by content.
This board allows you the opportunity to ask about additional clarification. I will attempt to answer any other questions you have.
It’s also about having a place to offer additional cool factoids that could be put on the main board.
Lastly, if anything is incorrect about the factoid, here is your place to mention it. Mistakes are one in a million (LOL), but they might happen.

Factoid: There were 11 teams that scored 0 or 1 run Friday - the 4th time in the last 15 yrs that's happened (2001, 02 and 04).
I could be wrong and haven't dug into it, but I think scoring in the majors is down this season. I seem to recall another similar factoid to this one a month or so ago.
If this is true, the cynic in me says that the reason is the headlines that start off with "Bonds", "Clemens" or "Manny" - and you can fill in the blanks.
